Can the Canadiens reattain their 1985 to 1993 excellence and bring the Cup back to Canada for the first time in 15 years?

The Canadiens sucked a lot between 1994 and 2003! Why are they performing better now? I'm out of the loop.

that's how it works. players change, team evolve, etc. the Sens got eliminated this year while last year they almost brought it back.

what would be terrific would be a Canadian finals :-) Flames vs Canadiens for example.

What year were the last finals with 2 Canadian teams?

cept that they won't set it up that way because American audiences wouldn't watch. I thought there was some controversy about this a year or two ago, where they fudged up the Canadian teams chances because they were afraid of an all Canadian final.

There is no "setting up". The seeding and tree is done according to a predetermined method based on wins and losses and regular season ranking, which humans cannot tweak with.

No it was something about their games being back to back and not giving them time to recuperate like the other teams. I don't remember.

We should watch the Montreal games together! I have TV antennae!

You can even watch in high definition with an antenna. That's what I'm doing, using a Hauppauge HVR 1600 tuner card. Only CBC and Radio Canada are broadcasting high definition in Ottawa, but you lucky Toronto folks can get almost everything.

CBC is all you need for live hockey games and election results. Pretty much anything else can be downloaded nowadays. :)

True. If I had to pick one station, it would definitely be CBC.

What do you think about the incidents that happened after game 7? I think it's pretty disgusting that they had to act out that way instead of just enjoying the fact that they won safely and without damaging property.

Sports hooliganism is a common human phenomenon worldwide. I don't understand it fully. It seems to be an extremely positive emotion that causes people to do bad things. I wish they could find a better outlet for their excess energy and feelings of power than to trash and vandalize stuff that belongs to others.
